For a 1000W Laser cutting machine the thickness of material only ranges between 1mm to 12mm. For a MS material the maximum speed achieved can be 9 m/min whereas for an Aluminum and SS this is 25 m/min. This is because a low power machine do not offers high speed cutting.

Mild Steel restricts a 2000W Laser cutting machine. Material with thickness of 16mm can only be cut by this power where as low thickness materials vary their power below 2000W. This thing only affects a MS material whereas the rest use this standard power rating of machine as offers a high speed of 35 m/min.
For a power range of 3000W to 30000W the Laser Thickness and Speed Chart follow the same technique. Only the thickness level increases with increase in Power and same does the speed. But different gases like O2, N2 and AIR are used with these materials. MS material does not offer the maximum power range in all of the scenarios.

For a 3000W power machine the maximum thickness achieved is 12mm for all materials but only 8mm for a Brass with N2 gas. Following the direct relation of speed and power, 50 m/min speed is the maximum that is achieved.

Maximum power i.e. 4000W with a speed of 2.8 m/min follows in the range of 6mm to 8mm thickness of a MS material. The machine also offers 10 m/min speed at 1mm thick material but the power range here is low than the maximum one.
