If ridden responsibly, electric bicycles are very safe indeed, and can be ridden in place of cars for commuting as well as recreationally.
Something to consider is that electric bikes are not as powerful as a motorcycle or dirt bike, we use what is called “pedal assist” which was designed to give the passenger additional power for longer commutes and to pick up speed for those uphill battles. Therefore, they do not go as fast as traditional gas-powered motorized scooters or motorcycles, but e-bikes can still get up to a top speed of around 20-28 miles per hour.

Wear a helmet every time you ride – it is the law!
Use common sense and be aware of your surroundings.
Get to know your e-bike before you travel in busy areas, such as main streets with other vehicles.
