Researchers have paid much attention to application of electric vehicles in the realm of city logistics, such as postal services and last-mile distributions, many of which focus on analysis of energy consumption or influence on environment. Analyze of the impact of a new generation of hybrid and electric delivery vehicles on energy consumption and environmental emissions, and compare the effects of different recharging modes(Cotana et al., 2015). Electric vehicles are a trend in the future of logistics and transportation, especially in the last mile of logistics. However, due to its high price and range restrictions, small and medium sized logistics companies do not follow this trend(Klumpp, 2014). Evaluations for environmental influence in the life-cycle of logistics electric tricycles follow constraints of delivering time and volume, customer distribution and parking demand in the logistics process(Saenz-Esteruelas et al., 2016). Electric vehicle companies highly value a positive attitude by the general public, such as media coverage and environmental awards, which helps to attract new customers who seek to reduce environmental footprint(Taefi et al., 2014). Besides, some researchers concentrate on comparing electric tricycles with other vehicles. The analysis of the competitiveness of electric tricycles and diesel van shown that freight tricycles competitiveness was sensitive to urban policies, such as parking policies and speed limits. And drivers’ costs has a great impact on freight tricycle competitiveness (Tipagornwong & Figliozzi, 2014). Experiments on the replacement of conventional delivery vehicles by electric tricycles show that advantages include not only the lowered logistics cost, but also the relieved traffic problems, reduced environmental pollution and increased employment opportunities(Conway et al., 2012). Some researchers indicated that the electric vehicles are better than diesel cars for logistics use(Cocchi et al., 2015). Most studies concluded that the electric tricycle exert less negative impact on environment in comparison with diesel trucks and other transportation modes. Admittedly, both bikes and trikes are popular in logistics industry in many places, and in a poll conducted in Paris, researchers found that about 92% of the citizens favor using cycles for freight transportation and think that the government is responsible for accelerating the spreading process (Browne et al., 2007). Empirical studies have shown that electric vehicles, especially e-bikes, are more environmental-friendly compared to traditional diesel vehicles when applied to distribution in city logistics(Lia et al., 2014).
